This is one of the most transcendent moments in the history of Cinema.
and this is one of the most disturbing.
No matter what other questionable drek you may have ended up in later in life, your performance as Frank sealed the deal for me. RIP.

As usual, with you on this one…
Dennis, you were one suave fuck.
I’ll raise a PBR in your memory (if I can find one in London)
RIP
how about ‘out of the blue’ from 78′. another classic. featuring the Pointed Sticks too!
yeah and Mad Dog Morgan!
Tragic news indeed.
Most of his roles were fantastic. Besides his work with David Lynch, among my favorite on-screen moments of Hopper’s was the bit about Sicilians in True Romance.
Perhaps his most over-looked role was as the main character in 1991′s Paris Trout, a film that makes most people very..um..uncomfortable.
(adjusts monacle) Excuse me sir, but “Speed” is not dreck.
@Jenny. Just saw this. How about Waterworld?
Just heard an old interview with Hopper — I think it was Fresh Air. He said that Lynch originally wrote Frank to be sucking on helium. Hopper didn’t like that since helium doesn’t actually fuck you up. That’s a fair point. But imagine this scene if Hopper had had the helium high-pitched voice. Might have made it cross over into the absurd and ridiculous, but might have been even more creepy.
