RIP Paul Fox and Raven
Bad day for those of us who came of age listening to punk rock in the 80’s. Looks like two more of the good guys are gone. Paul Fox, the guitarist from The Ruts died today of cancer at 56. Raven, the bass player for Killing Joke also passed away at the age of 46 of a heart attack. Here’s some of these dudes better moments:

Both of’em R.I.P. Two of the best and most underappreciated Punk bands. I’m specially fond of the Ruts, but the Killing Joke best moments also drive me nuts. Sad news, Joe.
what a shitty day…2 guys off 2 of my fave bands ever ,some real talented asses,leaving us way too soon.have cool jams where you are,your music will be w/ me forever.thaks for the good influence you had on 1000’s of bands & people.
i remember being really saddened when Malcolm Owen died. In a way i confess i didn’t feel for Sid and a whole host of others.
Paul Fox managed to get a good many more years under his belt, but this cancer is arbitrary and cruel, and 56 is a lot younger than it seemed in 1980.
The news about Raven and the other Paul is awful. I’d never seen the 80’s video before. I discovered Killing Joke due to the ‘Love Like Blood’ single. I’ve loved them ever since. It’s kind of sad that so many people seem to ignore them.
