Too Much – Silex Pistols / Photo Photo

Too Much – Silex Pistols / Photo Photo (Pathe) 1978. Here’s another example of punxploitation from Belgium. This one may seem less ideologically suspect © due to the two punk betties on the cover but is actually far more odious and exploitative than clueless but loveable Plastichke. The A Side is a tribute to The Sex Pistols that sounds like punk rock being played by the band on the Muppets….bad, bad, bad. The B Side is actually Pogo Pogo by Hubble Bubble / Plastic Bertrand with different lyrics sung by these two Belgian girls. I believe it was featured on the “Bloodstains Across Belgium” compilation and without knowing, one could easily believe it was recorded by a legitimate band.

  1. Sorry…I have to disagree…That’s not Plastic Bertrand’s – or rather Elton Motello’s, since he recorded the original version – version of “Pogo Pogo”.
It´s a Hubble Bubble song called “Pogo Pogo” with new lyrics.
The song is featured on one of the Hubble Bubble albums.
