Uncalled 4 – Cotton Fields // Grind Her Up (Tiger Tail Records) 1979/1985. One of the greatest “scam” records ever in history. The Uncalled 4 played a kind of Texas version of herky jerky New Wave that just slays me every time. Apparently, they also had a pretty good sense of humour. The “band” pictured on the cover is not really the Uncalled 4. It is actually a photo of The Texarkana Math Club. Not only that, but the label of the record says that this was released in 1979 when really it was released in 1985. It says it was recorded in Waco, Texas. It wasn’t. Ahhhhh a band after my own heart.
