The Middle Class were effin great. A lot of people get into the whole “they started out HC but devolved into post-punk” argument with them and thats unfortunate because all of the Middle Class recordings I have heard are BRILLIANT. And yeah…Out Of Vogue is the first hardcore record ever. No doubt.

i picked up the 1st 45 because it looked funny, and it was a buck. to my surprise it was a raging punk 45! they were from fullerton ca, 5 mins from where i grew up. the singer has a store in fullerton on commonwealth blvd. now, that sells vintage furnature!

“T.V. Photo Life” seems to be a straightforward excerpt from an old (circa 1950s) Civil Defense record. I found this record while thrift-shopping back when I grew in Pasadena during the 1970′s-early 1980s. Back then I used to see local bands such as Human Hands, Bpeople, and other LAFMS-related bands whenever I got the chance. So thanks for this post and all the others!
