Psyclones

Psyclones – Psyclones (Subterranean) 1985. I know next to nothing about this band other than the fact that they were from San Franciscio. I got this LP a long time ago due to the fact that it was on Subterranean Records which at one time (still?) was the coolest fuckin’ label on the planet. I always loved the cover of this LP. There is just something fascistic and threatening about it that I dig from a design perspective.

The Psyclones are classic art-damaged new wave punk. They were a husband-wife act I think, made up of Brian Ladd and Julie Frith. They released a 45 prior to this LP entitled “Electric Tone” which is supposed to rock. Would love to hear it.

Good to have you back, Mr Stumble. PPJ went under quick – He was served notice by his hosting comapny that he was killing the servers. The pulled the plug on him on 2/9 – he’s thinking he’ll be back in some form in the future.

Thanks Eric…you are truly the Last of the Mohicans now. All the other original influences for this site have closed up shop besides yours.
